This Blog Will Save The World
In 1797, as George Washington gave his farewell address upon leaving office, he warned against the âbaneful spirit of factionâ as a disruptive force to a successful democracy; a successful America. Though his farewell address is read aloud to Congress every year, his words have gone mostly unheeded and two major political parties have dominated the political scene since he left office. Increasingly, the battle for the political parties in power to âwinâ in the political game has driven the two sides further apart and left them unwilling to compromise. This has left the vast majority of Americans in the gulf between these two parties looking at two alternatives that neither represent their interests nor have any interest in them. Poised on the brink of a political evolution, the time has come for action by this silent majority.
